I have that picture of Savernake Cottage Hospital but had not got the date - thank you! Don't forget that the Community History Project for Savernake Hospital is open for a week in St Peter's Church Marlborough (the one with the cafe) from Saturday Jan 24th to Saturday Jan 31st (closed only on Sunday) from 10am-4pm. Bring your pictures, documents, memories or just yourself. Everyone welcome and it is free. Don't miss it! We've worked on the framework of the history but rely on the local community to fill all the gaps and bring it alive with their own stories.

im researching my family history, and these photo's bring to life all my gran has told me about where she was born and brought up, thankyou so much for bringing it alive for me. does anyone have any photo's of Beckett House @1895-1901? my great-grandparents were in service there then.How do I join the swindon history society? Love the photo of The Crescent, Chiseldon. My nan was Mrs Wilson (Milly) and lived at number 12 (I think!) and if I remember correctly had Gwen Smart on one side, and Bert Cox on the other. There was Mrs Huntley opposite... Wish I had some photos of the house, what memories!
