Series three of UNDERGROUND - BBC Radio Swindon and BBC Radio Wiltshire's show dedicated to local musical talent continued on Sunday 3rd September. Listen back to the show online.

The third series of UNDERGROUND - BBC Radio Swindon and BBC Radio Wiltshire's weekly radio show dedicated to local bands and musicians continued with the fifth show in the current run on Sunday 3rd September.

Sharp End First playing live for UNDERGROUND

The show features the latest band demos, a guide to the best gigs taking place around the area, band interviews, exclusive live sessions, gig reports, and interviews with Wiltshire music scene movers and shakers.

This week, presenter Daniel Garrett invited Bath-based state-of-the-art metallers Sharp End first into the studio.

Flit and Jay from the band came in for a chat and the band exclusively recorded two songs live for the show in the 'UNDERGROUND Sunday Session'.

UNDERGROUND roving reporter Marie Lennon was at Melksham sonic experimentalists Thoughtforms' recent gig at Bath Moles Club. She found out how a band who have such a challenging, unique sound fare on the local live music circuit.

Also this week, Marie kept Shaun Buswell's seat warm in the 'Buzz with Buswell' slot. Shaun's away on holiday so in his place Marie gave us a rundown of all the best gigs taking place in and around the county over the next week.

The local music scene Mover and Shaker this week was Kath O'Connor from Bath Moles Club. She talked up their annual Battle of the Bands contest which is due to kick off in October. In the past many Wiltshire bands have competed in the competition in the past and Kath wants many more to enter this year.
