Retail outside broadcast.

Huw Thoams and guests discuss the latest issues in the business world in Wales.

Last updated: 15 December 2011

Wales at Work, Thursday December 15th, 7 PM.

As we approach the busiest shopping day of the year, this week the programme is from the Festival Park shopping centre in Ebbw Vale.

We're focussing on retail and the high street, on the day that the latest figures show a drop of 0.4% in sales for November, compared to the month before.

This week retail guru Mary Portas recommended ambitious changes to the way councils, government and businesses work together to try and reinvigorate the retail sector.

And a National Assembly inquiry into town centre regeneration is due out in the New Year.

Huw Thomas is joined by guests from the worlds of retail and property to find out how our town centres are looking from their side of the street.
