Snow chaos, Christmas parties, and staff ideas

Nick Servini and guests discuss the latest issues in the business world in Wales.

Last updated: 20 December 2010

With snow causing havoc at one of the busiest times of year for many businesses, Wales@work looks at what's happening across Wales and how companies are coping.

Has the snow put paid to your office party? Were you even due to have one this year? With times still tight for many employers, we talk to firms who are splashing out on celebrations for their staff, and those who aren't.

If yours is still coming up, we hear some advice from one business group on how to make sure it doesn't end in tears - or worse.

How much time do employees generally have in the working day to devote to their own projects? At Google it's 20%.

Nick Servini talks to them about the results they claim that brings, and asks whether there's a lesson in it for other organisations.
