Retail: the Welsh high street

Nick Servini and guests discuss the latest issues in the business world in Wales.

Last updated: 06 December 2010

At the start of one of the busiest shopping weeks of the year, Wales@work looks at the retail sector.

Who's winning the battle for the Christmas pound? Is it the big city centre stores, the out-of-town retail parks or the local high street?

Our Business of the Week is a young company offering a new way to buy children's birthday presents, set up by two brothers who gave up successful careers to run it.

And is a private health plan a welcome addition to a pay package? Or do employees generally prefer the extra pound in their pocket?

We hear from a health provider who says Welsh employers are difficult to convince of the benefits.
