Skills, strikes and safety of banks

Nick Servini and guests discuss issues in the business news.

Last updated: 13 September 2010

Wales at Work, Monday 13 September, 7 PM

In a new look programme in a brand new slot (Monday at 7pm), Nick Servini and guests talk about Skills Wales week, threats of strikes and the anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers.

Are apprenticeships now a luxury that firms can't afford, or an investment and the best way to train youngsters for a future in manufacturing? Wales@work talks to the company with the biggest apprentice scheme in Wales.

And on the day the TUC warned of dire consequences of public sector cuts, we look at how our European cousins have handled their own austerity measures.

Nick talks to a former vice president of Lehman Brothers about that company's collapse, and it's the start of a brand new feature for Wales@work - Business of the Week.
