A Welsh stock exchange?

London, New York, Tokyo, Cardiff? Could Wales be about to become a financial centre in its own right?

Calls are mounting to establish a Welsh stock exchange. The latest to add its voice is the Federation of Small Businesses, which has released a report on the benefits it could bring.

But what exactly would it mean for the Welsh economy? Would it help us grow in stature as a nation and nurture our home-grown businesses? Or is it a step too far, and simply unnecessary when we're so close to Europe's financial capital - London?
