Out of Recession
At long last we've had confirmation that the country is finally out of recession. But only just.
The economy grew by just 0.1% at the end of last year.
It's enough though to bring the deepest recession since the war to an end.
But what's happening on the ground? Do people feel there's a meaningful recovery underway? And will it last?
In Wales, one of the main legacies of this recession will be cutbacks at foreign-owned factories.
Since the spring of 2008 the number of unemployed here has risen by 50,000.
So what kind of jobs will replace the lost work? What do employers need before they start employing again and will we see a lost generation like we did in the 1980s?
