Christmas Parties

'Tis the season of goodwill - or is it? If you're looking forward to your work Christmas party this year then you may be disappointed.

It's more likely to be a stand-up buffet than a banquet. And forget the free champagne because many companies are offering a cash bar this year instead.

That's if you're having a Christmas do at all.

The big question is whether at a time when firms have made redundancies, is it even appropriate to have a party or is it more important than ever to build morale among the staff?

Wales@Work looks at how companies are motivating staff at the end of a difficult year.
