FAMILY BUSINESSES

The recession has bitten businesses across the board - but research reveals family-run businesses have a better chance of surviving.

The Institute for Family Business claims they're more cautious, borrow less and plan better for the long term.

And hardly any family businesses survive three generations with succession being a major headache.

As the new chairman of Brains brewers - one of Wales best known family businesses - takes up his post, Wales@Work asks is it worth keeping it in the family?
