The Latest update from Wales@work

A Difficult Year

2008 will never be forgotten in the world of business.

We've seen the finance sector rocked from top to bottom, job losses in Wales have reached a ten-year high and the property market is in crisis

So what can be learned from the year just gone? Will it be more than in previous economic downturns or will all this turmoil be forgotten when the boom comes again?

And what will 2009 bring? Will it be a year filled with more doom and gloom or will it be a quick recovery?

How will Wales in particular fare in 2009? Can we expect more job losses - or have we seen the worst?

In Wales@Work's last programme of 2008 we will look at a difficult business year with guests from four different sectors and look at what the future may hold in for Welsh commerce in 2009.
