The Music Business

Wales@work, 24 June 2007

The Glastonbury Music festival takes place this weekend (June 27-29), with Welsh artists Duffy, Cerys Matthews and Los Campesinos among the prestigious line-up.
Festivals are big business these days, but what kind of shape is the rest of the industry in?

Is Wales still suffering from a stale "land of song" image, or was that shaken with the Cool Cymru 90s phenomenon? Are we taking the industry as seriously as other business sectors, and investing accordingly?

Guests include ex-Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable, who talks candidly about his experiences during the 'Cool Cymru' era - and what's happened to the Welsh music scene since.
