Fuel price hikes

Oil companies have been in the headlines for making multi billion pound profits - but while they reap the returns of high oil prices, what does this mean for Welsh businesses?

With a two pence rise in fuel duty due to take effect in April, how is Welsh industry coping with the hikes - and how will these prices affect the general public?

In some areas of Wales, fuel prices are among the highest in the UK, so are businesses already charging customers a surcharge because of fuel prices?

The blockades of oil refineries in 2000 brought the country to a standstill when prices were much lower than they are now. Could we be looking at similar action if something is not done to ease the pressure on the haulage industry?

Or should we see this as the time to ditch the fossil fuel and investigate greener options?
