Fit for work?
We all know we should be getting it but only a fraction of us are getting enough... so is it up to employers to step in to help us exercise?
Many of us are spending all day at our desks and in our cars - what will it take to get us moving?
The Sports Council for Wales claims an unhealthy workforce can have economic consequences for organisations - including sickness absence, accidents, loss of productivity and increasing health-related litigation. Physically active employees take 27% fewer days of sick leave, they say, saving their companies £135 per employee.
And charities such as the British Heart Foundation also say the workplace can benefit from active employees.
This week Wales@work asks whether it is really up to employers to make sure their staff are fit - or is this the nanny state gone mad?
