Small Business Week

It's the first-ever Small Business Week, with a series of events around the country designed to champion millions of small enterprises in the UK.

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of the sector to the UK economy and find out what small businesses need to tackle the challenges they face.

The week kicked off with the launch of the State of the Small Business Nation 2007 report. Looking at start-ups, home-based and growing companies, it concludes that more support is needed to help such businesses succeed.

With small businesses playing a vital role in the Welsh economy, Wales@work asks what challenges they are facing - and what support is out there for them.

Wales@Work, Tuesday 30 October at 6.32pm, repeated Sunday 4 November at 7.03am.
