Carrying on camping

It's Whitsun week, the schools are on their half-term break...and this week is National Camping and Caravanning Week.

So are you tempted to spend the night under the stars - or is that a little too close to nature for you?

Research due to be released this week claims that tourism in the UK is booming thanks to more people spending their holidays in tents, caravans or motorhomes.

But what impact is this having on the Welsh tourism industry and the economy here in Wales?

The Welsh Assembly Government says that 10% of the Welsh workforce is employed in the tourism industry, and tourists spend more than £3 billion a year here.

But are we doing all we can to attract campers and caravanners to Wales - and are we giving them what they want when they get here?
