Sultans of Spin?

Ten years of Tony Blair is at an end. He will be remembered for a lot of things, from the war in Iraq to peace in Northern Ireland.

One of his other legacies is the culture of spin. His term in office has seen the rise of a few sultans of spin, as well as an increase in the take-up of PR courses in universities.

But what does being a spin doctor involve? Does it mean blurring the truth or is it simply explaining something in a manner that is more accessible? Perhaps it's just a new name for propaganda or sales?

What do you think about it? Do you trust what comes out of the spin machine? Is it a profession you would pursue?

Join Sarah Dickins and guests on Wales@Work as they look at the business of spin on Tuesday 15 May at 6.32pm (repeated Sunday 20 May at 7.03am) on BBC Radio Wales.
