As the new Creative Industries Building opens at Glyndwr University in Wrexham, Adam and guests discuss the contribution that digital technologies can make to human creativity.

The Centre for the Creative Industries was officially opened on 31st March. Its purpose is to bring together under one roof all the different departments allied to the creative industries at Glyndwr University: everything from computing, through art and design to theatre and performance. The building itelf is pretty innovative, with a sustainable green roof covered in sedum plants which will recycle rainwater into the building's toilets and photovoltaic panels helping to supply electricity.

The Creative Industries Building also houses the new offices and studios for BBC Cymru Wales in north east Wales, which means that it's the Science Café's brand new base. To mark its arrival, this week's show is a discussion about the impact of digital technology on human creativity, asking in what ways computers are enhancing our creativity, even taking it into whole new arenas.

Adam's guests are all staff working with creative technologies at Glyndwr University: Dr. Peter Excell, Professor of Communications; Dr. Stuart Cunningham, Acadaemic Leader for Creative Industries, Media and Performance at Glyndwr; Richard Hebblewhite, Programme Leader for the University's Gaming Technology degree; and Sonia Di Gennaro, Senior Lecturer in Creative Media.
