Are you a digital native?

Adam Walton discusses two surveys about our digital lives The first by the BBC which revealed that twenty-one per cent of the adult population in Britain were not using the internet at all, and another published by the online charity YouthNet, which revealed that 75 per cent of young people felt they 'couldn't live without the internet'. Many of the so called internet "refusniks" are the older generation. .

3DTV, the next generation

Tracy Cardwell reports from the Bangor-based Centre for Advanced Software Technology -CAST - which has been making advances in the field using 3-D screens which don't need glasses. They incorporated the new technology in a visual presentation of a windfarm site they put together this month for the North Wales civil engineering company, Jones Bros.

Quantum leap

We peer into the future with quantum physicist Libby Heaney, who explains the principle behind a quantum computer, and why it may bedecades before we see one on our desktop.

New Windows

Daniel Booth of Web User casts an expert eye over the new version of Windows. Dubbed "Windows 7" it is Microsoft's shiny new operating system desgined to replace Vista and XP.
