The world's first National Coastal Path will officially be opened next month.... a continuous stretch of 870 milesright round the shores of Wales. In a special series of a Coastal Country Focus Jane explores different sections of the coastal path and how it's been achieved.

This week's journey begins with a bit of history in Porthmadog before travelling down the Llyn to meet an amazing woman running the whole path for charity. Then it's over to Nant Gwytheyrn before taking a bracing walk on the beach at Dinas Dinlle with the National Trust and a local resident who encourages us all to Keep Wales Tidy for visitors to the coastal path. Then we discover a hidden gem of a painting at Plas Newydd and finally it's onto Gorade Beach the otherside of the Anglesey coastal path where we find the silver slashers in action and Plantlife Cymru positively encourages walkers to trample on the plants?!
