Digging up the past with the community

Tinkinswood and St Lythan's Neolithic burial chambers come under scrutiny from archaeologists and the local community

The Neolithic sites of Tinkinswood and St Lythan's in the Vale of Glamorgan have long been landmarks associated with an era shrouded in the mists of time. In an exciting project to discover more about them and the surrounding area experts from Cadw and Archaeology Wales are involving the local community in the dig. Rachael Garside joins the excavation to team at St Lythan's as they unearth the secrets of the past.
