From painters to potters, felt makers to blacksmiths - rural artists work together co-operatively

Last updated: 11 December 2011

Country Focus - Sunday 11th December at 0700; presented by Rachael Garside and repeated Monday 12th December at 0530

Twenty years ago some a small group of crafts people in Carmarthenshire had a vision - they wanted to create a co-operative to bring rural crafts people together. Twenty years on and Crafts Alive has 60 members .....selling pottery, paintings, slate ornaments, soaps and many more artistic and unique products out their shop in Llandeilo. Working as a co-operative means that they can each work on their particular skill whilst having a shop window they can take turns in running.
