Last updated: 14 August 2011

Country Focus - Sunday 14th August at 0700; presented by Rachael Garside and repeated Monday 15th August 0530

Since the 1950s we've lost 60% of our traditional orchards and with them not just the loss of the fruit but also important wildlife habitats and part of our cultural heritage. Gwent Wildlife Trust is undertaking an exciting two year project focusing on Gwent's traditional orchards with the aim of bringing our orchards back to their former glory, and ensure that they have a permanent place in our natural heritage.
