Most people living in the countryside, and perhaps dog owners in particular, are familiar with ticks. But some of those blood-sucking beasts can carry Lyme disease and in this, "Tick bite prevention week" campaigners are calling for greater public awareness of the dangers.

We hear how a thatcher is using a medieval variety of wheat grown in Wales to restore a fire-damaged cottage in Ceredigion. Alan Jones is not only using the ancient 'land race' wheat to cover the roof but to plait 2,000 feet of straw rope to line that roof.

and the tallest tree in Wales - a fir which towers over Lake Vyrnwy has been named the tallest tree in Wales and is in fact the tallest living thing in Wales
