Starlings, Seaweed and painting birdsong

Birds of a feather flock together - but far too many starlings this winter for Pembrokeshire farmers. We'll have some ideas for country-themed stocking fillers including putting pen to paper for a novel way of recording birdsong

Recent reports suggest the numbers of British starlings have dropped 50% in the last two decades, while their visiting Northern Europe cousins are thriving. Farmers in Pembrokeshire struggle to cope with them feeding in their cattle sheds.

We look at how to find bats for research into whether windfarms are responsible for their deaths.

And a couple of books for stocking fillers? There's a wealth of seaweed to discover on our shores - a handy book to discover them. And painting birdsong - two artists have created an art book from what they hear. It's rather pricey for a stocking filler though !
