Farm signs, styles and the sweet smell of lavender.

Country Focus - Sunday 29th August at 07.30am presented by Rachael James. Repeated at 0530 Monday 24th August.

We hear about plans for the development of a battery-style milking farm in Powys that are facing opposition from local residents. The multi-million pound facility could be built at Leighton near Welshpool.

If you're a dog owner you'll probably be familiar with the harm chocolate can cuase to our faithful friends. But the British Veterinary Association is warning dog owners of a relatively new or developing danger that the artificial sweetener, Xylitol, can pose to their pets

Walkers on the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast Path now have a clear route on miles of this path after many stiles were removed. The National Park, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, has gradually taken away these obstacles to improve access.

And lavender farming in Wales? Yes it's possible! Nancy Durham and Bill Newton-Smith have just harvested their crops and Rachael visits the farm in the Maesmynis Valley just outside Builth - where they're smelling the sweet smell of success.
