At Chirk Castle they're attempting to bring 700 years of history into the present. When you think of Castles you think of cold and wet dark corridors but at Chirk they're reducing their carbon footprint by introducing the very latest 21st Century technology. Mel Doel avoids the dungeons to explore the history of this grand old building.

Indeed it's the last exploration Mel makes for Country Focus as she moves onto pastures new.
