Restoring the canals

Once busy routes for the industrial revolution Canals have fallen into disuse but work is ongoing to restore these waterways.

The Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal was once an integral part of the industrial revolution but now great swathes lay unused and neglected. but it is coming back to life again thanks to huge investment, lots of help from volunteers and lets face people who just love the canals. Mel Doel finds out how the Fourteen Locks project is getting along with it's restoration efforts and hears how there's a festival in May to celebrate the reopening of parts of the canal.
