Update for Country Focus 26th July 2009

Cultured from buckets.

Profile of north Wales yoghurt makers Gareth and Falmai Roberts who are the 2009 winners of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society's most prestigious prize - the Sir Bryner Jones Memorial Award.

Country Focus - Sunday 26th July at 07.30am and repeated Tuesday evening at 9.30pm... presented by Mel Doel.

Llaeth y llan yoghurts started from humble beginnings - the first batches were made in stainless steel buckets using milk from the Roberts' own cows which was cultured in the farmhouse airing cupboard. The vats have now replaced the buckets, and the latest technology takes care of the culturing processes. But the basic raw material is the same - and Gareth, Falmai and their son Owain are continuing to develop the enterprise in the village of Llanefydd.
