Update for Country Focus 1st March 2009

What a lot of rubbish!

Our landfill sites are running out of space - what happens with a landfill site once it's full and what can we do to dispose of our waste in a more environmentally friendly manner?

Country Focus - Sunday 15th March at 07.30am presented by Mel Doel.

What happens to our rubbish? The Welsh Assembly Government says that by 2025 we need to be recylcling 70% of all our rubbish but at the moment, most just gets buried in big holes in the ground.
So what happens when those landfill sites are actually full and are we anywhere near reaching our recycling targets?

Country focus visits the Lamby Way Landfill site in Cardiff to find out where our rubbish goes.
