Update for Country Focus 15th February 2009
Opening the gardens in winter.
It might not be the usual time of year to look around the delights of a garden but in a few week's time Bodnant gardens are opening to the public - we explore what's of interest.
The National Trust are opening up their properties in Wales early this year to extend the tourist season - but how will Bodnant Gardens cope? Situated above the River Conwy on ground sloping towards the west and looking across the valley towards the Snowdonia range, Bodnant gardens are considered to be one of the most beautiful in the UK. Mel Doel talks to the staff and National trust volunteers working to make sure everything in the garden is rosy and discovers the attractions to be seen at this time of year.
