Update for Country Focus November 9th 2008.

Happy Birthday CPRW!

Not just about windfarms - the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales is still going strong at 80 years, protecting rural Wales' environment and life.

Country Focus - Sunday 9th November at 07.30am presented by Mel Doel.

The countryside is facing a time of great upheaval - farming practises; climate change and our need to find renewable resouces are all putting pressures on our rural life. So who is here to protect our rural life? Lots of bodies come to mind but this year is a very special year for the CPRW - the Campaign for the Protection of Rural Wales. They're celebrating their 80th birthday and still going strong in their mission to protect the beauty and diversity of Wales' landscapes and the quality of life in rural areas. Mel Doel meets some of the campaigners and looks at the issues they face.
