Welsh farmers are being warned to vaccinate livestock after two imported cows tested positive for Bluetongue. The animals had been imported from Limoges in France to a farm near Ruthin in Denbighshire. Bluetongue is a virus that causes flu-like symptoms in cattle and sheep, and often proves fatal, but take up of vaccinations has been slow. Mel Doel explores the issues surrounding the case and assesses the mood amongst farmers.
