Cors Caron

Country Focus - Sunday 31st August at 07.30am presented by Gilbert John

Tregaron Bog - or Cors Caron - is the remains of a large shallow lake which has filled in since the ice age. Today it is the best remaining example of a raised bog in England and Wales. Much of the bog is protected as a nature reserve but as Gilbert John discovers it is home to more than 170 bird species and a remarkable collection of unusual plants and insects.
