Rural art and the environment.

Country Focus - Sunday 10th August at 7.30am, presented by Mel Doel.

We visit an unusual place in the Vale of Glamorgan that offers a family day out that could change the way we view the world - Coedhills rural art space. The whole site is run on alternative technology from high tec wind turbines and biomass underfloor heaters to solar showers that are made out of scrap radiators. The residents and volunteers live in a variety of dwellings from railway carriages, tipis and to mongolian yurts. With its permaculture gardens, the place is an inspiration for the budding and more experienced eco-conscious.

Coedhills has some special events coming up on 31st August with a pantomine in the Theatrespace and 19th-20th September the place is open to celebrate the third birthday of the stone circle with talks, art and music and a sauna!
