Country Focus - Sunday 22nd June at 7.30am, presented by Mel Doel.

Wales is blessed with a wealth of stunning and interesting landscapes and fascinating buildings. All of which is the result of people's interaction with the natural world over thousands of years - a history which is still evolving. The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales is the national body for recording and surveying all that heritage and this year it celebrates its 100th birthday. Mel Doel pays a visit to the Commission's home in Aberystwyth and takes explores the work they do, the archives, the services to the public and the importance of the historic environment of Wales.
