Beekeeping and Welsh honey.

Country Focus - Sunday 27th July at 7.30am, presented by Mel Doel.

Two and a half thousand people keep bees in Wales but there's concern that the honey bee could be facing extinction. Some beekeepers have lost up to 60% of their stock as viruses are leading to the collapse of some colonies and that could have serious effects on food production. Money has now been awarded to the Pembrokeshire beekeepers' Association to try to stop the decimation of the Welsh honey bee.
