Don't forget your wellies!

The event is organised by LEAF - Linking Environment And Farming who hope that opening up the farm gates will help educate the public about the link between food and farming.

An increase in a tapeworm picked up by dogs, which can be dangerous if passed on to humans, has prompted a Welsh Assembly Government campaign asking dog owners to speak to their vets about worming. Hydatid Disease is caused by a tapeworm and can be picked up by humans if they come into contact with dog faeces.

Pembrokeshire has some wonderfully evocative Welsh place names scattered around its coastline. National Park Ranger Phil Lees is so keen to help people appreciate the richness of the language that he is leading walks to introduce non-Welsh speakers to these magical names. If you'd like to join Phil on one of his walks, make a booking by contacting the National Park Information Centre at Newport on 01239 820912.
