Tipping point
Every 15 seconds rubbish is being dumped somewhere and it's estimated the huge blight of fly tipping is costing £72 a minute to the general public.
This month, the Countryside Alliance are launching a campaign and consultation to increase awareness of the problem to try and stamp it out and Environment Agency Wales will be undertaking a pollution prevention campaign.
It's taken a hundred years, but new legislation has finally been brought in to look after the welfare of animals. What's been described as 'The most important piece of animal welfare legislation for nearly a century' came into force this week.
The Animal Welfare Act introduces a duty of care on owners and keepers. Its implementation has been long awaited by campaigners who've been asking for legislation against animal cruelty to be strengthend.
