Herds of deer

We visit Margam Country Park and meet the thriving deer now living there.

Bright future

A few weeks ago, we had an item on the programme about cooking game and this sparked interest from a listener. Steve George invited us to go along and see the herds of deer at Margam Country Park, near Port Talbot.

It's a beautiful and tranquil location, hidden away from the industrial skyline the park overlooks. It's also a busy place steeped in history. There are three types of deer, including Pere Davids - a once-threatened species now thriving.
