Crowned by Kerrang! readers as Best Live Unsigned Band in the UK, Aberdare power-poppers Reaper In Sicily are tipped for big things.
Reaper In Sicily beat 700 other acts in autumn 2009 to win the Kerrang! / Black XS Livesound competition to the title of Best Live Unsigned Band in the UK.
Now their debut single We Are The Show! - recorded at the legendary Rockfield studios near Monmouth - is being released on 8 March 2010 on Search And Destroy Records.
Described as 'power pop, the fivepiece are made up of Rhys Bernardo (21) on vocals, Jonny Chappel (20) on guitar, Matthew Jenkins (21) on guitar, Mike Evans (20) on bass and Thomas Willams (20) on drums.
Lead singer Rhys said, "We want to show everyone nothing is impossible, everyone should have a dream and something to look forward too, that's what we are about, we want to reach the top we aspire to be the injection of enthusiasm that's needed to get through everyday life, we want to be everyone's middle finger when it comes to critics and we want to be living proof that your dreams are always reachable"
