The guitarist for Bush, Newport's Nigel Pulsford is one of Wales' most successful ever musicians and songwriters.
In the mid-1990s the band sold many millions of records as their post-grunge, guitar-driven rock music caught the tail-end of the 'Seattle sound'.
Wales' Nigel Pulsford had formed the band with Gavin Rossdale, influenced by alternative rock of the 1980s. As the band went on to sell 14 million records, driven by Pulsford's dynamic guitar sound and pop hooks, they began to attract mass media attention, not least because of Rossdale's relationship with No Doubt's Gwen Stefani.
Pulsford left the band after the release of their fourth album, The Golden State. We caught up with him in 2009 to find out what he makes of being part of one of the 1990s' most successful rock bands.
