Murry The Hump

Murry the Hump formed in Aberystwyth at the end of the last century. Singer-songwriter Matthew Evans recruited guitarist and sometime Tystion collaborator Gwion Rowlands, drummer Bill Coyne and bass player Curig Huws.
The band's first single was Green Green Grass Of Home, a split single with Gorgeous Fame & The 3 Degrees which came out in 1999. It had more to do with Matt's dealer than with Tom Jones. A couple more singles followed in 1999 - the mini classic Thrown Like A Stone was NME's Single Of The Week, and the Colouring Book EP featured live favourite Kebab Or Shag.
