Llanarmon's Gwyneth Glyn was "conceived following Plaid Cymru's St David's Day dinner at Abaty Maenan, Dyffryn Conwy, North Wales, in 1979".

She surprised her parents yet again when she paraphrased the famous Welsh ditty Pori Mae Yr Asyn at the tender age of two.
Following an idyllic childhood and experimental teens, she gained a first class honours degree in philosophy and theology from Jesus College, Oxford.
"I then joined the band Coco Rosa and the Dirty Cousins (as one of the Cousins) before returning to my homeland to write plays, poetry, and spread the gospel of country-folk music."
Her debut album, Wyneb Dros Dro, was released in 2005 by Slacyr Records. Tonau, her second album, was released by her own label, Recordiau Gwinllan, on 25 May 2007.
