At Llandogo Primary School in Monmouth, every child is given an opportunity to experience the thrill of growing their own food. They have grown a fantastic variety of vegetables and fruit in the school grounds. While the younger children are introduced to growing spring onions and lettuce, the older pupils are producing everything from sweetcorn to prize parsnips. Lunchtimes are healthier than ever as they use their seasonal home-grown produce in the school dinners.
