Nancy's husband died many years ago, and her son, Ed, was sent away to school so she lived alone for most of her adult life.
She is quite proper, and her relationship with her family is a little formal, though she's now living with them in the pub having sold her house to help fund their relocation to the Ty Mawr.
A keen exponent of healthy living, Nancy retrained a few years ago and became a reflexologist.
