"When I was younger, I went to Ty Croes Primary School, before moving to Amman Valley Comprehensive.

On the last day I felt really grown up, knowing that I was going to be going to secondary school after the summer holidays in the new year. But before I knew it, I was in year 11. God, time had flown by and the GCSEs were not far away.

I really didn't look forward to the exams, as I couldn't concentrate properly when in the middle of one. Time just seems to go so fast and the mental pressure builds up. I remember sitting them in the sport gymnasium, feeling a bit worried and panicky.

Exams can make you get depressed and annoyed with yourself if you feel you don't do well in them. An hour and a half test doesn't seem a fair way to decide your future.

I know that not many people enjoy doing them but I really do not like them. I particularly remember one - Maths. It had to be maths didn't it! When the time started and I turned the paper over, my mind just went blank and I had to read the questions over and over just to make sense of the questions. All I could hear was the clock ticking and the teachers walking around the hall whispering to each other, which didn't help.

Thinking about it, the test didn't go as well as I would've hoped.
