About this interview
ANNETTE: They do often ask, you know and she's, is very interested in findin' out, erm, about her heritage basically and erm recently erm my farver got the CD "Roots" which she watched and she enjoyed but obviously couldn't believe you know how the way yer know people were treated in those times. But yeah, I mean they're both very interested, yeah and Sophie's um fourteen and Ashley's twelve. But, yeah they are interested an' you know in their heritage. INTERVIEWER: Can you answer all their questions, though? ANNETTE: No, I mean like I said I said I wuz only, I uh, uh, I went back to Guyana when I was seven so I can't honestly remember, I mean I'd love to go back and see all my relatives an' you know. I, Cos I just can't remember what's it's li - well I can, I've got, erm, you know sort of vague pictures of what it, what it's like I mean I've seen it on television and I've seen erm you know erm pitchers, but it'd be nice to actually go back an' experience it and take the children there as well so they can actually experience it for themselves as well.
