About this interview
JEAN: When I first got married my.. I lived with my in-laws and I had my first child in that house... and that had a...a parlour...and a kitchen/living room sort of thing. And I can remember my mother-in-law coming home and finding me in the...parlour part, giving the baby its bottle and changing its nappy. And she went spare : "What are you doing in here?" she said. "You know we don't come in here till night time at 7 o'clock, when the television goes on!" And d'ya know, we weren't allowed in there till then.
