What is 'menowashing'?
It's estimated that there are around 13 million women going through the menopause at any given time, and supermarket shelves are full of products claiming to do everything from balancing hormones to regulating mood swings. But it turns out, many of these products aren't worth the glossy label they're written on, with little evidence to support their claims. As part of our continuing investigation into supplements, Dr Helen Wall explains why this is what's known as 'menowashing'. She shares why certain words on packaging could mean you're paying over the odds for a product, and explains why some supplements could actually stop your other medication from working.
